Description
Elettaria cardamomum, or Cardamom, is an evergreen perennial of the ginger (Zingiberaceae) family. Celebrated for its pungently aromatic herbaceous leaves and pods, this tropical baby is commonly found growing in the monsoon forests of India, Sri Lanka and Burma. Provide the stability of even temperatures and lots of shade, and this plant will keep healthy and growing.

Partial to full shade, ideally grown under the shade of tall trees
Fertile loam-based soil
Water regularly - maintain medium to wet soil consistency
